Dear Valued Customer,

We would like to update you on the recent changes announced by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) regarding the Service Tax on rental and leasing services.

Following MOF’s announcement on 5 January 2026 and RMCD’s revision of Service Tax Policy 2/2025 issued on 23 January 2026, a 2% exemption has been granted, effectively reducing the Service Tax rate from 8% to 6% with retrospective effect from 1 January 2026. As your January billing was issued before this policy update and reflected the 8% rate, we will be issuing a Credit Note to reverse that invoice. A revised e‑invoice reflecting the correct 6% Service Tax rate will then be issued to you.

All invoices beginning February 2026 will reflect the 6% Service Tax rate.

If payment was previously made at the 8% rate, or if any advance payment resulted in an excess due to the 2% Service Tax exemption, the excess amount will be offset against your next billing.
