Implementation of 8% Service Tax on Rental and Leasing Service Effective 1 September 2025

Dear Valued Customers,

In line with the expansion of the Sales and Service Tax (SST) scope effective 1 July 2025, rental and leasing services are now classified as taxable service under Group K, First Schedule of the Service Tax Regulations 2018. As mandated by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD), these services will be subject to an 8% service tax.

As part of our compliance with this regulatory update, we will implement the 8% Service Tax on applicable charges for all KINTO products, effective 1 September 2025.  Service Tax will be reflected as a separate line item in your billing statements and applicable e-invoices for monthly subscriptions and related charges. Kindly review your billing statement for details.
